We recently worked with Today FM Ireland’s leading radio station, on a campaign to launch the refreshed brand to the trade at their signature event held in an exclusive Dublin location.
What was the creative brief?
To position the newly branded Today FM within the market as an on-trend and current media company. To wow the audience, entertain and create a lasting impact in the minds of all who attended the event. The audience were all from other leading creative and advertising agencies in Ireland so our work had to cut through.
What was the creative concept?
There were two parts to the project:
To launch the brand – the objective was to silence the room and introduce the new brand just ahead of the CEO’s presentation. We started by gathering the earliest key radio moments over the past twenty years and using rumbling bass, pinpoint sound and motion graphics we created the evolution of sound video.
The second part was to present the piece particularly focusing on Today FM’s line-up of broadcasting talent, who create the shows daily and attract the target audience, and to do this in a contemporary engaging credible manner, with a little bit of comedy and star quality.
How did it go?
Both pieces were very well received by the audience giving a standing ovation at the end. The audience loved it and the clients were extremely happy with the outcome. They have subsequently shared it on social media generating almost 200k views and over 200 shares.
